Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.
The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.
Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.
It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.
The world situation is the world situation. If you're following the news, you know it as much as I do, if you're not, then there are better sources than scans_daily. But please, no doomscrolling, for your own sake.
The US Supreme Court has approved certain Trump policies regarding voter registration. As scans_daily always urges those who can vote to exercise their right to do so at every opportunity, please regularly check you are registered to vote. Avoid use of votesafe.org though.
Strange New Worlds came to the end of it's fourth season with an entertaining story which showcased Uhura, and a future version of herself (looking a LOT more TOS like). It also had the first appearance of the 70's animated Star Trek's Lt. M'Ress in live action, even if only in cameo!

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Resurrections - Hell's Council

Ostensibly a spotlight on Butterball, this issue focuses more on Julia. Clive Barker's original intention was for her to become the movie franchise's main antagonist, so maybe she is deserving of the attention, but I personally would have thought pairing her with The Female would have produced more interesting opportunities for the two to play off each other.
Regardless, this is quite a quick read, with large panels and little dialogue. The puzzle box incident seems unrelated to the main plot, just there to clearly establish this is a Hellraiser book. Behold Hell's Council, though:

This third one-shot differs from the previous in that it does not feature any form of infernal puzzle box being solved. It is set entirely in the Labyrinth, starring the only Cenobite who probably has worse nicknames than the Lead Cenobite/Hellpriest, and the Engineer with his shiny prick.

BigGo Finances has reported that the webcomic hosting site Tapas is shuttering:
“South Korea’s Kakao Entertainment is terminating service for Tapas, the North American webtoon platform it acquired for approximately ₩1.1 trillion (approximately $809.6 million). The ambitious 2021 investment, intended as a beachhead for the North American market, is effectively being written off just five years later.”
